Miguel & Rose Terrero
Directors
Miguel joined FCA DR in 2013 as one of the first three staff members. In the fall of 2016, he moved almost 2 hours east from Boca Chica to begin FCA ministry in the city of Higuey, and in 2020 he was offered, and accepted, the position of country director for all of FCA DR ministry.
Rose partially grew up on the mission field and has extensive experience working with non-profit ministries. She moved to the DR in 2015 and met Miguel at a training conference shortly after. After getting married in 2017, Rose joined the administrative team of FCA DR to assist in running the behind the scenes work - a role that has since expanded into Director of Administration and Communication.
Together, they are passionate about making an impact in the lives of people everywhere and eagerly follow their calling to go and make disciples of all nations. Part of this calling is being lived out in raising their four young children.

Rhyann MacKay
Admin Assistant
Rhyann joined FCA DR in August of 2022, coming on board to help out in the area of administration and hosting teams. After working with FCA DR and their teams previously through YWAM, she fell in love with the ministry and what God was doing. When the need for an admin assistant presented itself, she jumped at the opportunity to join in on what God is doing through FCA DR.
Rhyann has lived on and off in the DR for over a decade serving with several ministries. She has a heart to see Dominicans come to know God and find their true identity in Christ.
She and her husband, Titi, got married in 2019 and together are raising their four kiddos.
Area Directors

Williams Martinez
Boca Chica
Willy joined the staff of FCA DR in 2012, as one of the first members, and has played a key role in growing the ministry in the area of Boca Chica. In addition to leading Boca Chica, Willy also also started an FCA Sports girls basketball and volleyball program and boys baseball program. There is nothing Willy loves more than to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he is passionate about impacting coaches and athletes through discipleship.
In addition to FCA ministry, Willy has the opportunity to minister through a local Christian cable show twice per week, sharing Jesus and presenting the sports ministry to all of Boca Chica and beyond. He also serves as an elder in his local church.
Willy is married to his beautiful wife Alex. They are raising three children who, as adolescents and young adults, participate in FCA activities regularly.

Alvis Santana
La Romana & San Pedro de Macoris
Known to most as Pomponio, his friendly smile and heart for people has opened many doors for discipling coaches and baseball players. Alvis came on board with the Boca Chica staff in 2014, and in 2018 he made the move to La Romana to further develop and grow the ministry that had been started there by several other staff members through commuting from other towns.
Alvis also assists as one of our main translators and local hosts for short term mission teams that serve with FCA DR, while overseeing the SPM area staff, as well.
Alvis exudes the love of Christ in all he does and is grateful for the opportunities that God has given him to share the hope of Jesus Christ through the ministry of FCA DR.

Cesar Ortiz
Dajabon & Northwest
Former big league player, Ortiz, as he is called on a regular basis, had been working as a coach in Santo Domingo, while working alongside FCA staff before joining FCA DR in May of 2017. In 2018, he and his family moved to Dajabon to help with a church plant in that area. From there, Ortiz and his family expanded the FCA ministry into other areas in northwestern DR, including connections in Santiago and several other towns.
Ortiz loves to share Jesus Christ with every coach and athlete he has the opportunity to mentor and disciple and to minister the Gospel through the platform of sports.
Ortiz is married to his sweet wife Indira. Together they are raising their two kids who are growing into incredible young leaders, as well.
Field Staff

Emilio Silvestre
San Pedro de Macoris
Emilio was the first one of FCA DR staff to meet Mike Shaheen in 2011 while he was commuting to Boca Chica from San Pedro de Macoris for his job as a groundskeeper. A few years later, Mike moved his family to SPM to start another region of FCA DR ministry and brought Emilio on board to assist in those efforts. Emilio works alongside coaches and athletes in the large baseball complex of SPM every week to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ that has become very real in his own life.
Emilio is married to his lovely wife Clara, and they are blessed to raise two lovely, growing children.

Victor Sanchez
San Pedro de Macoris
Victor joined the FCA DR team when the ministry was expanding to San Pedro in 2015. Born and raised in Boca Chica, Victor had connections to other FCA staff, such as Miguel and Ariel, through playing baseball together as kids. Victor's love for Jesus and energy for life spill into the lives of the coaches and athletes he disciples on the baseball fields every week in the communities in and around SPM.
He is married to his beautiful wife Aracelis, and they are raising their two sons as they serve in various ministry capacities, including as the couples' ministry directors in their local church.

Emmanuel Daniel
San Pedro de Macoris (Consuelo)
Onboarding as full-time staff in 2026, Emmanuel has been mentored under other SPM area staff for several years, serving in volunteer capacity wherever possible as God opened doors. He is currently serving in the small town of Consuelo, where FCA has had ongoing influence for many years in baseball and basketball camps and programs.
Emmanuel is married to Noemi, who works as a teacher. They are thankful for this opportunity to serve their community and help meet some of the spiritual needs around them, through the FCA resources and support from local staff.

Ariel Benitez
Boca Chica
Ariel joined the FCA DR team in 2013 and has since been sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the baseball and softball fields of Boca Chica. He played a key role in the beginning stages of expanding ministry to La Romana, traveling an hour there twice a week before Alvis Santanta took over full-time.
He loves sharing the Word of God with youth and discipling coaches to make an impact in the Dominican Republic for Jesus Christ. Ariel is married to Wendy, a full-time teacher. They are raising their two kids and serving actively in their local church, among many other things..

Reynaldo Victorino
Boca Chica
One of our newest hires, Reynaldo served as a ministry volunteer for several years before coming on board as staff. He worked in the tourism industry for a few years after his baseball aspirations came to an end, then turned to coaching young players in his hometown, finding more purpose there. Under Willy's mentorship, Reynaldo has flourished into an impactful coach and now loves to minister to other coaches and a wide range of athletes, both on and off the field.
Renaldo is married to Aurora and together they have two small sons they are raising.

Jose Santana
Dajabon
In 2023, Jose onboarded as our second staff member in the northwest area of the DR after volunteering with the ministry for several years under Cesar Ortiz. Jose's quick smile and humble spirit make him very approachable to those he is ministering to, coaches and athletes alike.
He readily serves in any area asked to, whether in camps or with groups or in leading huddles with coaches and athletes alike. His background as a baseball coach gives him great insight into the heart of those he ministers to.

Rudy Mora
Higuey
Besides being a trained plumber and electrician, Rudy has an extensive background in sports and sports ministry, including serving as director of a baseball ministry in Cuba for several years before moving to the Dominican Republic. Rudy's wife, Margarita, and their two young adult children were able to join him in the DR in 2023, and through international FCA connections, their family moved from Sosua to Higuey when Rudy onboarded with FCA in 2024 to to run huddles and a batting school through a new batting cage partnership.
Rudy's friendly, outgoing personality makes him a favorite "tio" to all the kids and a respected coach and umpire wherever he serves. His heart for people and love of God's Word show up anywhere he goes, whether in sports or through one of his many other expertise areas.
